About

Our mission is to help parents understand the metal health of their kids and determine the best soultion when faced with arising issues. As youth ourselves we believe this will be an effective way of shifting a parents persective when reaching out to their kids. Youth today have to grapple with the multiple pressures society gives us whether it be exceling in school, preparing for college, and just the future in general. We would like to give parents the opportunity to set their own preconseptions aside to look deeper.

Scenario 1

Teen: “Hey mom, why’d you go through my phone? I told you nothing happened last night. If you asked, I would have let you look through it”

Option 1:*YELLING* I had to! You seemed upset when you came home.

Option 2: *calmly* I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have. I was just worried about you. I promise I won’t do it again or I’ll ask you first.

Both the teen and parent are stressed and upset. The teen loses trust and respect for their parent. Give each other the silent treatment.

Teen understands and is forgiving. Teen opens up about what happened to make them look so upset. Parent learns a lesson about boundaries.
